POWDER COATING & WET PAINT FINISHING

We have various in-house painting solutions available, depending on the material or finish required. The majority of our work is either powder coated or high-temperature wet painted.

There are many benefits having painting in-house:

1. We can design the parts to take into account the paint process requirements.
2. Only one point of contact. Our customer does not have to plan the logistical transfer of parts from one company to another.
3. Better control and shorter lead-times with the minimum of delays.

The majority of work is powder coated on our powder coat track system. Capable of coating parts 3000 x 1700mm x 1100mm.

Our standard powder coat process is, an initial iron phosphate pre-treatment followed by demineralised water final rinse. A drying oven is used to dry the parts before the powder is applied in our powder coat booth, the powder is baked onto the part until it is cured.

Few powder coat facilities have a demineralised water final rinse. They are expensive to run, yet imperative. Without this treatment, mild steel parts can suffer from corrosion under the powder coat finish.

We also have a box oven powder paint plant, with three tracks. Capable of coating parts 6100mm x 2000mm x 2500mm.

We also have a wet paint plant cable of coating parts 2000mm x 1700mm x 1200mm. We predominantly use this to apply high-temperature wet paint.
