Welding, Dressing, polishing & Surface Preparation
WELDING & FINISHING
Welding is an important part of any sheet metal fabrication. G&C has invested heavily in offering the best equipment that meets our customer’s requirements. Our facilities include MIG welding for mild steel parts, TIG welding for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium parts, or spot-welding.
MIG & TIG Welding
We currently have 14 welding bays with MIG & TIG facilities. Some are double size bays to cope with large fabrications 6m long x 2m wide. Dye penetrant and sealing processes can be implemented as part of the welding process.
Our skilled workforce are able to complete complex fabrications to meet our customer’s specifications.
Spot-Welding
We currently have 3 traditional spot-welders and one tabletop spot-welder, which is ideal for large panels. These are used to spot-weld mild steel, stainless steel and coated steel parts.
Finishing
We have a large finishing area to enable us to prepare and process complex parts. Our skilled workforce are able to remove blemishes from welding fabrications or apply a brushed/polished finish.
We are also able to offer the removal of weld blueing on stainless steel parts without the need for grinding.
